The Lean container is directly comparable with STRECON Basic but is designed individually and online by the customer at our homepage www.strecon.com. The Lean container is offered at approx 30% price reduction compared to Basic thanks to standardized tool layout and manufacturing process. The strength, durability and application scope is similar to Basic representing a cost effective alternative to the traditional compression rings for various cold and warm precision forging applications.

The Basic stripwound container is 2-3 times stronger than a normal compres- sion ring. It is highly recommendable for high loaded dies used for extreme forging operations and net shape parts forming. With a Basic container the forming die can be optimally pre stressed up to 1% or higher. The strength property provides a very stable pre- stressing performance over time, and it can be used for numerous die changes (tool steel and tungsten carbide), and is applicable for different cold, warm and hot forging operations.
|
The prestressing tool offers approx. double tool stiffness (i.e. 400 GPa) compared to normal compression rings of tool steel. It is highly applicable for forming of parts with narrow tolerances (i.e. the die deflection is reduced up to 30%), and for reducing the low cycle fatigue in high loaded dies (i.e. improved die performance and service life). The increased stiffness has been obtained by replacing the inner ring of the stripwound container with a core of tungsten carbide. Both forming dies of tool steel and tungsten carbide can be used by E+.

Axi-fit container provides two- directional prestressing (i.e. radial & axial) of the die insert for optimum tool perfor-mance. The Axi-fit design feature is available for both Basic and E+, and is fully comparable in regard to strength, durability and application range. The tool system is highly recommendable for prestres- sing of split die designs addressing horizontal and transverse die cracking, and similar design needs.

Vari-fit tool system is designed for fine-adjustment of the inner die diameter of net shape dies used for forming of gears, splines, and other challenging net shape geometries. The die diameter is adjusted in few microns (i.e. 2-5 μm) by a controlled variation of the interference fit of the insert. Like any other stripwound container, the Vari-fit tool system offers a fully reliable pre stressing of the insert and a long service life of the container itself.
|
Dyna-Fit is a dynamic tool system for friction-free part ejection. The tool system is based on the stripwound tool technology, and is a further enhancement of Vari-Fit. The tool system allows a controlled opening and closing of the die insert by 0,3-0,7% of the inner die diameter. The dynamic tool system is applicable for both hydraulic, mechanical and servo presses, and for die inserts of tool steel and tungsten carbide.
