The original idea of the STRECON Stripwound Container was to develop a safe tool concept that could obtain the forces in case of overloading (i.e. work environment safety). Today, however, the STRECON stripwound container technology is mostly recognized by other technical merits. Because of the strength of the steel strip material, the stripwound container can withstand a load that is up to 70% higher than the normal 1-2 ring system. No other prestressing product can offer this loadability. The STRECON stripwound container solution for HPE applications has proven to be very stable, robust and long-term reliable - even used under extreme conditions. Today, the stripwound tooling is applied to pressure levels at 60 KBar and much higher.
