The stripwound container product is made of high-end materials, and is designed quite different from conventional compression rings in order to ensure the performance and durability of the product. Therefore, a STRECON^® container will always be more expensive "price-wise" than a single or double ring made from low-hardened tool steel materials. However, measured in terms of total costs, the STRECON stripwound container is by far a more cost-effective tool system due to its performance and durability. As of February 2010, STRECON^® has launched a new Online Ordering System where STRECON^® Lean containers can be individually designed and ordered. The price of the STRECON^® container depends on several criteria: 

• Tool concept (i.e. Basic, E+, Axi-Fit, Vari-Fit, Dyna-Fit, etc.)
• Size and tool materials used
• Complexity and volume
• Online Ordering (only available for STRECON^® Lean containers)

New inquiries are always subject to a business case analysis in which we calculate the likely cost savings to be achieved with a STRECON^® tool solution. If the project looks promising, we submit our quotation separating the cost of tool engineering required for designing the tool solution from the cost of the hardware itself. Usually we make our proposal for a new tool project as a complete Development Package including engineering, hardware deliveries and technical support during production testing and implementation.
