Launch of STRECON® Robot Assisted Polishing Machine (RAP-225), designed for Polishing of Tools, Machine Components, and other Similar applications with 2D rotational parts as well as simplified 3D Geometries. 

Development of dynamic tool concept for compaction of PM parts under high pressure (up to 1500 MPa), and friction free part ejection.

Launch of STRECON® Robot Assisted Polishing Machine (RAP-200) for 2D rotational parts and components.

 

Launch of an Online Ordering System, initially with the STRECON® LEAN container developed for cold and warm precision forging.

 

Exclusive distributorship with the Japanese carbide manufacturer Dijet Industrial for carbide blocks and finished carbide tools within the European Union.

 

Distributorship with the Japanese toll manufacturer Japan Hardware (JHW) for segmented carbide dies and tools.

 

Launch of a series of  stripwound and compact-designed STRECON® Shop Floor Press (150, 250 and 400T) for tool assembly and disassembly, fine adjustment of tools for net shape forging, and other similar activities on the shop floor.

 

Distributorship with Simufact Engineering GmbH of the Simufact software developed for simulating different metal forging processes.

 

Exclusive Agent of Felss GmbH in Scandinavia for individual machine units and production lines based on rotary swaging and/or axial forming (e.g net shape splines).

 

Establishing local STRECON® offices in Japan (Nagoya) and the US (Canton, Ohio).

Launch of the STRECON® Stripwound Containers for High Pressure Synthesis (diamonds, CBN). Installed in that connection a large-diameter winding unit for the manufacturing of stripwound containers up to Ø2000 mm. 

New stripwound container design concepts to cold forging applications: E+, Axi-Fit, Opti-Fit.

 

STRECON® Technology was established as a separated business unit from the parent company Danfoss A/S in 1986, and with inital sales in neighboring European countries. The company has initiated its overseas sales to Japan and the United States in the early 90´ties.

1974-79

 

 

The history of STRECON® tool technology originates in the research project "Safe Forging Tools" conducted by Dr. Jens Grønbæk at the Danish Technical University in Copenhagen (DTU).

 

The theory of the stripwinding principle had been described and proved with the first prototypes of stripwound tool systems.
