Applications

Felss machine solutions are applied to a broad range of parts, holding their strongest competence and experience within the automotive industry. The genuine idea of Felss is chipless manufacturing by means of rotary swaging and axial forming technology - mostly starting with a tube work piece material of steel or aluminium.

The main automotive applications are drive train, transmission, engine, steering, chassis, and safety. To mention just a few product types: Shafts, steering columns, one-piece yokes, piston rods, bell for CVJ's, hubs, sun gears, cylinders, tubes, etc. Of new applications shall be mentioned medical, marine, fluid handling etc.

Felss has over the years constantly developed their process and machine technology to match even the most demanding industrial requirements. In many cases the right manufacturing solution would involve both rotary swaging and axial forming process stations, limiting the need for traditional machining to an absolute minimum.
